Defender for Business focuses on the devices your staff use. It can be added without replacing your email or productivity software, making it useful when device protection is the main gap.

Check before you choose
- Defender for Business is already included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium. Check for duplicate licences.
- It does not include business email or the Office apps. Email protection may need separate tools.
- Device setup and ongoing management are needed; server protection may require additional licensing.
