What we collect

You can browse most of this site without giving us your identity. If you ask for software advice or pricing, we may collect your name, business name, work email address, optional phone number, number of users, migration requirements, preferred timing, product interests and any notes you choose to provide.

We may also process limited technical and security information needed to operate the service safely, such as request timestamps, browser or user-agent information, security identifiers used to limit repeated requests, and server logs.

Why we use it

We use personal information where it is reasonably necessary to:

• respond to your request and narrow down suitable software;
• prepare or confirm pricing, licensing, migration or setup requirements;
• provision, support or administer services you decide to purchase;
• maintain request history so you do not need to repeat the same context;
• secure this site, prevent abuse and diagnose operational problems; and
• meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations where they apply.

Who may receive it

We do not sell personal information to advertisers. Where necessary to quote, provision or support software, relevant information may be shared with software publishers, authorised distributors, hosting or infrastructure providers, and other service providers acting for Cloudfusion (Pty) Ltd. We limit this to what is reasonably required for the task.

Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where cross-border processing applies, we take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements intended to provide appropriate protection for the information.

Cookies and similar technology

The current Business Software storefront does not rely on advertising cookies. Essential session or security cookies may be used where required, for example to protect the private back office.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected for, including service delivery, support, record-keeping, security and applicable legal obligations. Different records may therefore have different retention periods.

Your choices and rights

South African data-protection law, including POPIA where applicable, may give you rights to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to certain processing, or raise a complaint. Some requests may be limited by legal or operational obligations that require us to retain specific records.

To make a privacy request, use the contact page or email privacy@cloudfusion.co.za. You may also have the right to approach South Africa's Information Regulator if a privacy concern is not resolved.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service, including restricted administrative access, encrypted transport, checks on submitted information, activity records and abuse controls. No internet service can promise absolute security, so we also design this site to avoid collecting information we do not need.
