Microsoft 365 pricing and plans in South Africa

Compare Business Basic, Standard and Premium in rand. Understand what each plan includes, how billing works and what to arrange before moving your team.

Current Cloudfusion offers

Three plans. Clear billing terms.

ZAR per licensed user, excluding VAT. Annual prices are paid in full for the year. Setup, migration and ongoing managed support are scoped separately.

Prices follow the current public catalogue and can change. Review the selected billing term, quantity and final total before payment. Read the terms.

Which Microsoft 365 plan should you choose?

Start with how people work. Someone handling email and shared documents in a browser may be well served by Basic. Someone who relies on installed Excel, Word or Outlook should compare Standard. Premium becomes relevant when you need to manage work devices and control access to company information.

You can assess different roles separately. A receptionist and a finance manager may need different apps, but security policies also matter. Check that every person covered by a security or management feature has the required licence. Business plans are designed for organisations of up to 300 users; ask for a licensing review as you approach that size.

  • Basic: business email, shared files and web or mobile Office apps.
  • Standard: those everyday services plus installed desktop Office apps.
  • Premium: productivity tools with Intune, Entra ID P1, Defender for Business and Defender for Office 365 Plan 1. Configuration and ongoing administration still need an owner.

Compare the billing term as well as the price

The monthly amount in the comparison is for the listed month-to-month offer. The annual amount is the full licence charge for one user for a year, paid upfront. It is not a monthly debit. All amounts are in South African rand and exclude VAT.

Before you pay, your Cloudfusion billing account lets you choose the licence quantity and review the final total. An annual commitment can limit when seats can be reduced or cancelled. Read the order terms before committing, especially if staff numbers may change.

The licence price covers the listed subscription. Domain registration, data migration, setup, training and ongoing managed support are agreed separately where needed. If an existing licence already covers a feature, check it before buying an overlapping add-on.

Already using Microsoft 365?

Tell us before placing a new order. Your existing Microsoft business environment, often called a tenant, holds your users and information. We first check the current subscription, renewal date, administrative access and any reseller relationship. Do not create a second environment or cancel your existing licences simply to change supplier.

An eligible partner-to-partner subscription transfer can keep the existing environment. It depends on the subscription and the current and incoming partners completing the required process. A supplier change and a move of email or files between separate environments are different pieces of work. We confirm which route applies before you commit.

Moving from IMAP, POP or another email provider

Buying licences does not move your old messages or connect your domain. A migration needs a plan for mailboxes, shared addresses, existing devices, domain access and the changeover. POP mail may be stored only on a computer and needs a separate check.

An IMAP mailbox migration moves email; contacts, calendars and tasks need separate handling. Agree what must be retained, what needs to move and how staff will sign in afterwards. Keep the old service available until the agreed checks are complete.

  • List users, shared mailboxes and the amount of old email to retain.
  • Confirm who controls your domain and existing Microsoft administration.
  • Agree file, calendar and contact migration alongside email.
  • Plan the changeover, staff instructions and recovery checks before switching.

Illustrative example · fictional five-person team

Same email addresses. A planned move.

Five people use IMAP email, with some older messages saved only on a laptop. Here is what to agree before moving them to Microsoft 365. This is an example, not a client result or a promise of uninterrupted service.

  1. Check what you have

List the five mailboxes, shared addresses and local archives. Confirm domain access and what needs to be kept.

  2. Prepare and test

Prepare the agreed accounts and move the email. Handle calendars and contacts separately, then check a mailbox and the devices people use.

  3. Switch and verify

Agree when new mail changes destination. Check incoming messages, retained email and staff access before retiring the old service.

The licence order covers the subscription. Migration, setup and support need their own agreed scope and cost.

What happens after you order?

Payment and licence activation are separate steps. We check the order and the Microsoft environment before arranging activation. If an existing subscription, transfer or setup task needs attention, we confirm the next steps with you. Do not assume that paying creates a ready-to-use mailbox immediately.

Agree who will assign licences, configure sign-in protection, install apps and help staff get started. If you choose Premium, also agree device enrolment, security policies and who responds to alerts. The licence makes these tools available; it does not replace that work.

Existing clients can use the Cloudfusion support portal. If you want migration or ongoing support, request it before ordering so the scope, responsibilities and price can be confirmed.

Before you decide

Common questions

Does the Microsoft 365 price include VAT?

The prices shown here exclude VAT. The final tax treatment and order total are reviewed in your Cloudfusion billing account before payment. For an overseas order, contact us to confirm eligibility and availability before buying.

Is Microsoft Teams included in these plans?

Yes. The Business Basic, Standard and Premium offers listed here include Teams. Telephone numbers, external phone calls and phone-system requirements need a separate check.

Is annual pricing the amount I pay each month?

No. The annual price shown here is the full charge per user for a year, paid upfront. The monthly offer has its own price and commitment. Review the selected term and quantity before paying.

Does Microsoft 365 Business Basic include desktop Word and Excel?

No. Basic provides web and mobile Office apps. Compare Standard or Premium if your team needs the installed desktop versions.

Can I keep my business email address?

You can use an address on a domain you control. Existing mail, domain settings and access must be checked before a move. Buying the subscription alone does not migrate your mailbox.

Does Business Premium include Microsoft 365 Copilot Business?

The Business Premium offer compared here does not include the separately listed Copilot Business add-on. If you need it, we check the eligible base licence, permissions and intended use before recommending an order.

Can Cloudfusion take over an existing Microsoft 365 subscription?

We can review the available route. Transfer eligibility, the existing commitment and the current partner relationship must be confirmed first. Keep your current service active while we check; a change of supplier does not automatically require moving your data.
